A Guide To Washing Sheer Curtains In Canberra

Whilst many homeowners use sheer curtains in Canberra because they add a sense of elegance and class to any room, they can be difficult to clean when it comes time to sprucing up the house a little bit. The sheer fabric is known to attract lots of little dirt and dust particles, so much so that your curtains will actually begin to look dull.

Step 1: Fill your washing machine with lukewarm water. As it fills, add in a water conditioner, which you should be able to pick up from most supermarkets. Once the machine is full, take your sheer curtains and place them into the water.

Step 2: Switch the washing machine onto its pre-soak cycle and leave the fabric like this for about 5 minutes. Then, you can put the machine on its gentle rinse cycle.

Step 3: Once the rinse cycle is over, you will need to fill up the washing machine with lukewarm water again. This time, mix some washing detergent in with the curtains in Canberra.

Step 4: Switch the washing machine onto a gentle wash cycle for between 3 and 5 minutes. You will need to watch the fabric to make sure that it doesn’t manage to wrap itself around the agitator.

Step 5: Switch the washing machine onto its gentle rinse cycle, making sure that you use cold water. Once the machine has filled, add some fabric softener and stir it in.

Once your curtains in Canberra have gone through their final spin cycle, you will need to remove them from the washing machine and place them into the dryer on the ‘air dry’ setting. Make sure that you add three or four hand towels to help absorb some of the moisture. Hang up curtains straight away to avoid wrinkling.
